The Kings Arms Hotel dates from around 1750 (although we have recently changed the beds)

when it was rebuilt after the Great Fire of North Walsham the original Kings Arms dated back to 1650.

Horatio Nelson is rumoured to spend his lunchtimes in The Kings Arms Hotel while studying at the nearby Paston College 🙂

Wing Commander and famous RAF ace Robert Stanford Tuck met his future wife, Joyce, in late December, 1940, at a dance at the Kings Arms, while he was stationed at Coltishall. The meeting is recounted in his biography, Fly For Your Life, by Larry Forrester.
